Julian Perkins
Julian is currently writing and producing a community-based theatre play to premiere at the Thwaites Theatre Blackburn prior to a national tour. He also has a number of television and radio projects in development, including a 90-minute drama and a comedy drama series.
He is a sought-after writer of serials and series: Julian authored the
EastEnders high-profile 4-parter about the Mathew and Steve murder trial, which received that year's highest audience figure of over 21 million viewers. As a lead writer on
The Bill he storylined the 'Serial Killer' strand, and his episode
Feet of Clay received excellent reviews notably in The Guardian.
Julian's credits include
Emmerdale, Casualty, Murphy's Law, Murder in Suburbia, the final episode of
MIT, (Series 1),
Grafters and a good number of episodes for
Byker Grove.
Within his portfolio is a full feature film,
King of the Golden Mile. His numerous theatre and radio productions include the much-acclaimed
Images of Tiffin, which won several awards; and
Appropriate Channels written for Alan Ayckbourn.
