An award-winning writer and broadcaster who works across television, theatre and radio, Nick's adaptation of
The Boy at the Back of the Class has just been performed at The Rose Theatre, Kingston, and is currently on UK tour. Nick wrote for the BBC1 series
Better for Sister Pictures who are now developing his drama series. Runner-Up of the Red Planet Prize 2020 Nick now has a series in development there. Nick spent 5 weeks in Apple TV's Writers’ Room for the 2nd series of
Suspicion. He was formerly a scriptwriter and storyliner for
Emmerdale.
A prolific playwright, commissions include plays with The Leeds Playhouse and Asian theatre company Rifco. Nick is writing stage adaptations of novels for Northern Broadsides. His play
Glory (2019) was produced by the Dukes Theatre/Red Ladder/Tamasha, had 4-star reviews and toured UK-wide. Award-winning play
The Chef Show (Ragged Edge Productions) had 3 nationwide tours (2016-2019) and Nick's musical
Redcoats for Mikron Theatre also toured extensively.
Radio work includes four-part comedy
Umbreen’s Junction for BBC Sounds. An arts journalist/theatre critic Nick presents BBC Radio 4’s
Front Row.
