Alanna Hallum
Amongst Alanna's writing credits are Waterloo Road for the BBC, and she is one of the top contributors to Hollyoaks, having written over 110 episodes for the show, including several special episodes, Christmas transmissions, stunts, two-handers and spin-offs. One of Alanna's episodes was nominated for 'Best Episode' at the 2016 British Soap Awards.

She began her writing career on Mersey TV's Brookside, having already storylined over 300 episodes, also holding roles within the series of Script Editor, Story Producer and Assistant Producer, before moving to a two-year tenure as Deputy Producer on C4's Hollyoaks.

Alanna has written the pilot episode for the proposed return of Australia's The Flying Doctors; and she has several online projects on the go. Her current, original screenplays inlclude 'My Christmas with Marlene' and 'The Neighbour'. Alanna's writing is very character-led and she loves finding unique voices - with a particular interest in strong, female ensemble pieces.
